This is a GREAT trimmer for the money. I haven't had any problems with it yet, other than putting a small hole in my siding due to me ripping on the throttle while too close to the house. I'd recommend this to other potential buyers.

I love this product. I live on a small farm so it gets heavy use. The battery lasts longer than I do, so I never have to worry about stopping prematurely. It has a hard time with some types of tall grass (I'm talking 2.5 to 3 ft "barn grass") because the grass wraps around the spindle, but you have that problem with any weedeater (trust me, I know). Other types of tall grass (fescue) it handles much better, you just have to go slow. It's dynamite with reasonably length grass and easily handles thick grass up to about 2 feet tall. Read More...

This is the first edger I've ever owned, but it seems to work very well. There is a metal guide that makes it very easy to make a perfectly straight cut along your driveway or sidewalk. I think this feature makes it superior to using a string trimmer turned on its side (it's hard to make an exact and clean cut with a string trimmer). This trimmer works well. It starts easily (my greatest fear, being an older female), and does the job as promised by the other 5 star reviewers. I've had it for about 6 months with no real problems. At one point it was cutting out after just a few minutes so I topped it up with some more well-shaken gas/oil mix and it worked fine. Not sure if that solved the problem or it was just a fluke. THE STRING TRIMMER: The trimmer is by far the best tool in the set. It's both a trimmer and an edger, it's lightweight, and it's got some good power to it. A battery only last about 20 minutes, so make sure you have an extra one charging if you've got a large job. Edging can spend a battery in even less time. Received this item today.....charged the battery in about 30-40 min and took it out for a test run....Edged the front lawn by the 156 ft of sidewalk (both sides)that's over 300ft! and the driveway edges in no time and did a GREAT job.....then went out back to tackle the 9 brick and stone lined gardens....again did over 1/2 of the back before battery needed a quick recharge....went in to put battery on the charger and and registered product for the warranty on-line..had a coffee and battery was ready to finish...Did a great job...quite, powerful, clean and so light weight! I'm a skeptic about everything I buy. Search everything prior to buying. After much research I chose this 20 volt trimmer. I own .46 acres with a fenced yard and I am able to finish all the trimming with one battery. It's almost perfect for this acreage because the battery usually dies right at the end of trimming. Approximately 15-20 min of continuous run time.
